The hotel is very very good in propotion of price and service! Very clean and cosy. It was my first time of ordering such a place to stay, but it really surprised me: - Convenient location, - Responsive and friendly staff, - Cleanliness of premises, - Normal (adequate) guests! Thanks for hospitality, next time i go to Msc, i definitely stay here!)

New hostel. Clean room and bathrooms. Good location. About 10 minute walk to Old Arbat St and metro station. Free towel provided. Free wifi. Quiet as the hostel wasn't busy during our stay. Staff allowed us to use the shower before we head to the railway station even though we already checked out. We had to pay 50Rbl to rent a towel though.

No breakfast provided. Not for anyone looking for a party hostel.

Bathrooms are too tiny for big men.

The location of the hostel is excellent. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Although the bathroom and toilet are shared, 2 bathroom and toilets are equipped in our floor. Do not worry about waiting the bathroom or toilet in the queue.

The location is relatively good (close to center), but not particularly close to any metro/subway station. Minimum walk to a station is about 12-15 minutes. I believe that this hostel has relatively cheaper prices considering it's Moscow. As a general comment, I never understood why this city has to be so expensive and I'll certainly avoid Moscow in the future as much as I can. It's not friendly, everything it's just in Russian, people hardly speak anything but Russian (even the young ones!) and it was built to impress people rather than in consideration of the well-being and comfort of its people.... Megalomania at its best.

The single room in the hostel is basically a small cell with no window! If you're even slightly claustrophobic do not book such a room. You'll have no idea of the time of day without an alarm clock... It is the first time in my life that I have to stay in such a room...I Would have certainly not accepted such a room for more than 2-3 nights.

Friendliness. They made a call from reception notifying about check-out at 11:45, we left at 12:25 and nobody said anything.

Good location, clean, nice decor, free wi-fi in the room, free public computers with Internet in the lobby, fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, a microwave, free tea, coffee and sugar, a locker in the room.

No central heating in the room, but there was a spiral heater. Noize from the corridor and from the other rooms is very hearable. They take 500 RUB deposit for the key and give it back only on сheck out, and they do not warn about it on Booked.net

Accuracy, clean rooms

No shampoo in the bathroom, had problems with cold rooms.

Прекрасное местоположение -очень близко к метро "Смоленская" (голубая ветка). К метро "Смоленская" синей ветки и метро "Красноперсненская" - просто близко. Я останавливался в только что открывшемся (в начале января 2012) блоке, поэтому все было супер чисто, просто стерильно - комната, коридоры, кухня, ванная комната и душевая кабина. Сотрудницы на reception - воплощение доброжелательности и чуткости. Обязательно остановлюсь здесь же в следующий раз.

Only one tiny disadvantage - it's quite difficult to find the Hostel. You should go through the arch of the building # 11, and only from ther you can see the sign "People Hostel".

Thin walls between rooms and hall

The hotel had been realy desined for Russian market. It is really hard for someone from uk to stay in People as: It is , at times , very hot and not possible to open windows/ turn the heating off. The shower fascilities are really very basic and mixed for both sexes . No where to change and you have to walk through wet floor through the toilet area to get out of shower areas.

Dormatories are very small It was at times very noisy in the morning
